Minerals, vitamins, and trace elements in feed can only be determined by testing several factors:

• The soil it was grown in
• Storage of the feed
• Contamination i.e. air pollution.

When made into a compound of different cereals , losses through manufacture, such as heating, should be considered, as these can cause a deficiency in differing degrees.
